Rene de Vries

Rene de Vries has held various positions in the corporate world since 2002. Rene was the Director and Partner of D-Switch BV from 2002-2009, where they were responsible for Sales and Product Development and increased export within Europe from 15 to 60% of the turnover. In 2009, they sold the company. From 2007-2009, they were a Boardmember of the Future Lab of Product Design TKK Helsinki. From 2009-2015, they were a Boardmember of the Zaanse Creative Board. From 2010-2016, they were the Managing Director, Sourcing Director, Managing Director, Business Development & Sales and CEO and Founder of Aito, a company with a vision for desirable products with pleasurable interaction. From 2015-2020, they were a Business Mentor at Orange Grove and a Member of the Advisory Board at Crescent Med.

Rene de Vries began their educational career in 1985, when they attended Amstel HTS and obtained an ing. Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in mechanical engineering- production logistics Flexible Robot Automation. Rene then attended HTS Alkmaar from 1991 to 1993, where they received a Bachelor's degree in General Sales, Merchandising and Related Marketing Operations. Finally, they returned to HTS Alkmaar from 1998 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Finance, General.
