Markos Sfikas has a long history of work experience. Markos began their career in 2008 as a Database Maintenance Assistant for the Hellenic Management Association. In 2010, they worked as a Research Analyst for the Athens Laboratory of Research in Marketing (A.L.A.R.M). In 2011, they worked as a Digital Marketing Intern for House of Kaizen and as an International Account Manager and International Account Planner for LinkedIn. In 2016, they became a Product Marketing Manager for ResearchGate. In 2020, they were a Corporate Communications | Europe for Alibaba Cloud and is currently a Senior Product Marketing Manager - Streaming for Aiven since 2022.

Markos Sfikas completed their BSc in Marketing and Communication from the Athens University of Economics and Business between 2004 and 2008. Markos then attended KEDGE Business School in 2007 and obtained an Advanced Management Programme in Marketing Management and Business Analysis. In 2010, they graduated with an MSc in International Marketing - Specialization in Customer Management from the University of Strathclyde. In addition to these degrees, Markos Sfikas has obtained various certifications, such as "Marketing for Small Business" from LinkedIn in 2017, "Creating a Marketing Growth System" from LinkedIn in 2017, "Marketing with Snapchat" from LinkedIn in 2017, "Content Marketing" from HubSpot Academy in 2018, and "Google Tag Manager (V2) Essential Training" from lynda.com in 2015.
