Carolyn Bentley

Carolyn Bentley is a Developmental Editor and Operations Specialist at AJE since October 2023. Previously, Bentley served as a Developmental Editor and Expert at Research Square from January 2015 to March 2024, and as a Senior Editor/Editor at American Journal Experts from November 2011 to December 2014, focusing on editing scientific manuscripts by non-native English speakers. Furthermore, Bentley has experience in oncological research as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Genentech from June 2009 to November 2011, where genetic mutations were characterized using genome editing techniques. Educationally, Bentley earned a PhD in Cancer Biology from Duke University, where significant research on selective estrogen receptor ligands was conducted, following a BS in Bioengineering: Biotechnology from UC San Diego.
