Camille Byers has extensive experience in the field of people and culture management. Camille is currently serving as the Director of People & Culture at AKA NYC since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Deputy Director of HR & Culture at Gibney from July 2019 to May 2021. Before joining Gibney, Camille held the position of Human Relations & Finance Coordinator at the Manhattan School of Music from January 2017 to August 2019. Camille also has experience working in the Joffrey Ballet School, where they served as the Project Manager for Summer Programming from January 2017 to August 2017, the Director of Residence Life from August 2014 to August 2017, and as an Assistant Head Resident Advisor in June 2014. Camille's work experience also includes a role as a Residence Hall Coordinator at the Interlochen Center for the Arts from August 2013 to May 2015 and as a Building Monitor & Information Desk Attendant at Oberlin College from February 2011 to May 2013.

Camille Byers completed their education with a Bachelor of Music degree in Musicology from Oberlin College, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. Prior to attending Oberlin College, they pursued Trombone Performance at Southern Methodist University from 2009 to 2010, although they did not obtain a degree in that field. In addition to their formal education, Camille has acquired various certifications including a New York State Notary Public certification from the New York State Department of State OFPC in April 2017, Mental Health First Aid from the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene in May 2019, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training from LivingWorks in February 2016, and safeTALK also from LivingWorks in September 2015.
