André Lucas

André Lucas is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in various engineering roles. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Akamai Technologies since March 2023, André has also held significant positions at StorageOS since February 2016, including Chief Architect, Engineering Manager, and Lead Developer, focusing on C++ development, networking, and cryptographic components. Prior roles include Dev Ops Engineer at the Metropolitan Police Service, where André built OpenStack and Docker infrastructure, and Senior Engineer at Nomura International, leading global DNS infrastructure projects. André's background also includes a VP/Senior Engineer role at Citigroup, managing SMTP systems and email migrations, as well as infrastructure roles at Instinet and Quadriga. André holds a BSc in Mathematics from the University of East Anglia, earned in 1995.
