Philip Tellis

Philip Tellis is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in web performance and security. Currently serving as Principal Architect and RUM Distiller at Akamai Technologies since April 2017, Philip leads the mPulse Data Science team, deriving insights from web performance data. Previously, Philip was Chief Architect at SOASTA Inc. from September 2012 to April 2017, where significant contributions included designing mPulse and maintaining the boomerang.js library. With early career roles as CTO of Log-Normal Inc. and Performance & Security Architect at Coupons Inc., Philip has a proven track record in both performance measurement and security protocols. Career highlights also include impactful positions at Yahoo! and foundational experience as a self-employed developer at Bluesmoon Consulting. Philip holds a Master’s degree in Computer Applications from the University of Mumbai and has engaged in various educational pursuits, including Startup School at YCombinator and language courses at Göthe Institut and Alliance Française.
