Nicholas Wilkening has been working in the marketing and communications field since 2010. Nicholas began their career as a Sports Information Assistant at Central College in 2010, where they took stats and created box scores, compiled season stats into season reports, wrote articles for the college's athletics website, and filmed a promotional video. In 2013, they became a PJ Boatwright Intern at the Iowa Golf Association, where they set up the various Iowa Golf Association Championships, performed several course ratings, and helped with various fundraisers for the IGA Foundation. Additionally, they wrote and designed the IGA Yearbook for 2013. In 2014, they became a Marketing Consultant at Red Shoe Media, INC, where they utilized their experience with multiple social media and digital marketing platforms to help brand small businesses to give them a voice in the marketplace. Nicholas also helped grow their presence on social media, as well as assisted with traditional marketing campaigns to help grow their respective businesses. In 2016, they became a Social Media Manager at AKC Marketing.
Nicholas Wilkening graduated from Central College in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communication and Media Studies. Prior to that, they attended Perry High School. In March 2020, they also obtained a certification in SEO Foundations from LinkedIn.
