Sunny Yang

Sunny Yang is a seasoned clinical scientist currently serving as a Senior Clinical Scientist at Akebia Therapeutics since November 2021. Additionally, Sunny holds volunteer positions at Orlando Health and Give Kids The World Village, both since January 2023. Prior to these roles, Sunny was affiliated with the University of Florida from October 2012 to November 2021, where responsibilities included Assistant Professor, Senior Scientist in clinical and translational research management, and Associate Director at the Neurotrauma Neuroproteomics & Biomarker Research Center. Sunny earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Pharmacology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and has further academic credentials from Rasmussen University.
