Bjørn Leren

Bjørn Leren has extensive work experience in various industries. Bjørn currently serves as the Vice President of Global Sourcing at Aker BioMarine since May 2019. Previously, they worked as the Head of Sourcing & Procurement at Cognizant Oil & Gas from December 2016 to May 2019. Before that, Bjørn held the position of Head of Sourcing & Procurement at Frontica Business Solutions from September 2014 to November 2016. Bjørn also worked as a Senior Manager of Sourcing Solutions at Aker Solutions from August 2013 to September 2014. Prior to that, Bjørn was the Category Director of Global Sourcing at REC from November 2008 to July 2013. Bjørn played a significant role in expanding the REC Singapore office and managing Asian suppliers. Bjørn also served as the Purchasing Director at Anton Sport from May 2007 to October 2008 and as the Category Manager at Gresvig AS from July 2003 to June 2007. In addition, they have experience working as a Brand Manager and Controller at Orkla ASA from January 2000 to May 2003. Bjørn began their career in the Norwegian Armed Forces as an Instructor and Sergeant from July 1994 to July 1995.

Bjørn Leren has an extensive education history. In 1990, they completed their general education at Steinkjer VG School. Following this, from 1993 to 1994, they attended BSIT - Officers' training school, where they pursued a degree in Military and Strategic Leadership and obtained the rank of Seargant (USK). Bjørn then returned to academic studies and from 1995 to 2000, they attended the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), where they acquired a degree in Business/Managerial Economics, specifically a Siviløkonom / Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration. During their time at NHH, they participated in an exchange student program at Università Bocconi in Milan, Italy in 1999. In 2016 to 2017, Bjørn pursued further education at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), this time completing an Executive MBA with a focus on Strategy & Management.
