Frederik W. Husebye

Frederik W. Husebye has over 25 years of experience in the energy and commodity trading industry. Frederik W. currently serves as a Commercial Manager at Aker Horizons, where they are responsible for sourcing raw materials and negotiating offtake contracts on hydrogen, ammonia, and methanol. Aker Horizons develops green energy and green industry solutions to accelerate the net zero transition.

Prior to their current role, Husebye worked as a Senior Energy Advisor at SimulationFinance, where they specialized in financial risk management for heavy asset industries. Frederik W. also held the position of Director of Sales Marketing at NOREXECO ASA, a commodity derivatives exchange for the International Pulp & Paper Industry. At NOREXECO, they led product and business development, including sales.

Before joining NOREXECO, Husebye served as Chief Sales Manager at Nordea Markets, where they managed global commodity and derivative sales. Frederik W. also worked at Hydro Oil & Energy, where they held various positions, including Senior Trader, Head of Power Trading, and Head of Customer Portfolio Management.

Husebye began their career as the Director of Sales and Marketing at the International Maritime Exchange (IMAREX). Frederik W. also worked at Sempra Energy Trading as Vice President and Head of Trading for the Nordic Power Market, managing a trading team focused on option strategies and spread trading. Husebye started their career as an Energy Portfolio Manager at Hafslund.

Frederik W. Husebye completed their education in a chronological order. Frederik W. began their education in 1987 at the University of Oslo (UiO), where they pursued a degree in Filosofi. Frederik W. completed their Examen Philosophicum in Filosofi in 1988. In the following year, from 1988 to 1989, they continued their studies at UiO and completed their Grunnfag in Filosofi. Subsequently, from 1989 to 1992, Frederik attended the Questrom School of Business at Boston University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Business.
