Paul Sass has six years of professional experience in the legal field. In 2021, they became a Charter Member at TechGC and General Counsel at Akido Labs, a Y-Combinator and venture backed healthcare technology company. At Akido, they managed all legal and compliance activities, worked closely with senior business leaders to establish business development, finance and go-to-market strategies, and led the negotiation and closing of mergers and acquisitions. From 2015 to 2021, Sass was an Associate at Loeb Block & Partners, where they represented domestic and international clients on a wide range of corporate and financial transactions. From 2012 to 2015, they were an Associate at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, where they represented corporations and lenders in a variety of domestic and international transactions, capital markets offerings and secured and unsecured financings. In 2010, they worked as a Summer Associate at Pillsbury Winthrop. In 2009, they were a Legal Intern at the New York City Council, where they researched and drafted proposed legislation and composed testimony for a Congressional hearing on affordable housing.
Paul Sass completed their JD from Harvard Law School between 2008 and 2011. During their time at Harvard, they also took courses at Tel Aviv University in Law and Business from 2010 to 2011. Prior to their JD, they completed a BA with Honors in International Relations from Washington University in St. Louis between 2003 and 2007. Paul also took courses at University College London between 2005 and 2006.
