Michele Xiloyannis serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Akina since October 2021, leveraging extensive experience in technology and research. Previously, Michele worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at ETH Zürich from April 2019 to November 2022 and briefly as a Software Engineer at MyoSwiss AG in 2020, contributing to Project Dojo related to research on the Myosuit. Prior to these roles, Michele was a Teaching Assistant at Nanyang Technological University from January 2015 to March 2019, focusing on feedback control systems and control theory. Michele holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Robotics from Nanyang Technological University (2015-2019), a Master's degree in Neurotechnology from Imperial College London (2013-2014), and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Università di Pisa (2010-2013).
