Utpal Bhalala

Utpal Bhalala, MD, FAAP, FCCM, BCMAS, CHCQM has extensive work experience in the medical field. Utpal currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Akshar Staffing. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Executive Officer at www.BestResearch.com. Utpal also worked as a Medical Director at HCA Healthcare and as a Pediatrician at Amistad Community Health Center. Alongside their clinical roles, Dr. Bhalala has been an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University since 2021. Utpal previously worked at Driscoll Children's Hospital, where they served as a Physician Advisor, Chair of Research Taskforce, Associate Professor, and Intensivist. In their career, Dr. Bhalala has been actively involved in various positions with the Society of Critical Care Medicine, including Chair of several committees and Board of Directors member. Prior to these positions, they worked as a Simulation Facilitator and Assistant Professor and Pediatric Intensivist at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Utpal Bhalala, MD, FAAP, FCCM, BCMAS, CHCQM obtained their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Seth G. S. Medical College and King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital, University of Bombay. Utpal also received an MBBS degree from Seth G S Medical College.

Additionally, Dr. Bhalala has obtained various certifications including Health Care Quality & Management (HCQM) Certification from the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians, Board Certified Medical Affairs Specialist from the Accreditation Council for Medical Affairs, GCP for Clinical Trials with Investigational Drugs and Medical Devices (U.S. FDA Focus) and Biomedical Research from the CITI Program, and a Texas Medical Board Physician License.
