Sunghoon Kang

Sunghoon Kang has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering, spanning several companies and roles. Sunghoon is currently a Founding Software Engineer at Akuity, a position they have held since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked for LINE Plus Corp as a Software Engineer from June 2019 to June 2022. In this role, they contributed to projects such as LICO, a cloud native platform, and PIPE, a container-based platform for improving developer productivity. Sunghoon also designed and developed the Cloud Controller Manager for LINE's private cloud.

Before LINE, Sunghoon worked at Banksalad from November 2016 to June 2019, starting as an Android Engineer and later transitioning to roles such as Server Engineer and DevOps Engineer. At Banksalad, they were involved in building a data lake on AWS and migrating Kubernetes clusters and AWS resources to other regions.

Earlier in their career, Sunghoon worked at WELT corp as a Software Engineer, where they played a key role in the successful Kickstarter fundraising campaign by designing and developing an Android application for the smart belt product. Sunghoon also integrated the smart belt using Bluetooth Low Energy and Firebase Database.

Additionally, Sunghoon participated in the SW Maestro incubation program for software engineers, where they were chosen as one of the top trainees. During this program, they worked on three projects primarily as a backend engineer.

Sunghoon Kang attended Kyunggi High School from 2011 to 2014. Following this, they pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering at Dongguk University from 2014 to 2022.
