Guilherme Matte Ruschel has a diverse and extensive work history in various leadership roles in the marketing, sales, and trade marketing fields. Guilherme most recently worked at AkzoNobel as the Marketing and Sales Unit Head and Managing Director. Prior to that, they served as the Sales and Trade Marketing Director at Grupo Brinox and the Sales and Marketing Director at Liotécnica. Guilherme also has experience working for global companies such as Burger King Corporation as the Marketing Director for Northwest Europe and Unilever as the Sales Director for the FoodSolution Division. Guilherme began their career at Nestle, where they held multiple roles including National Sales Manager, Consumer Marketing Manager, and New Business Development Manager. At the start of their career, Guilherme worked at Ambev in various roles, including National Operational Manager and Pricing Specialist.
Guilherme Matte Ruschel has a diverse education history. In 1993 to 1997, they attended the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, where they studied Business Administration. Guilherme then completed an MBA at BSP - Business School São Paulo in 2003 to 2004 and an Executive Program in Management in a Global Economy at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management in 2004. In 1999 to 2000, they pursued an Extension Program in Finance at FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas. Additionally, they participated in a Boot Camp in Communication Planning at ESPM Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing in 2016 and an Extension Program in Business Economic Program at the University of Oxford's Department for Continuing Education in 2019. Most recently, in 2022, they completed the Strategic Thinking online program in Business Administration and Management at IMD. Before their higher education, they attended João XXIII School from 1977 to 1992.
