Ahmed Kandil

Ahmed KANDIL is the Head of International Studies Unit & Head of Energy Studies Program at ACPSS. With extensive experience at the Al-Ahram Establishment and AlAhram Center for Political and Strategic Studies, Ahmed is an expert in global energy governance, Arab – Asian energy cooperation, Africa's energy integration projects, and more. Ahmed has published numerous articles and books on energy security and is also a journalist and commentator in various media channels. Ahmed holds a PhD from Sophia University in Tokyo and a B.Sc. in Economics & Political Sciences from Cairo University.
