Christopher S. Taylor

Christopher S. Taylor currently serves as the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Professor of History at Al Akhawayn University since August 2021. Previously, Christopher Taylor held the position of Professor Emeritus of Islamic History and Middle East Studies at Drew University from October 2019 onward, after a longstanding tenure which included roles as Professor of Islamic History and Dean of the College of Liberal Arts. Additional academic leadership experience includes serving as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty at Habib University, Dean of Grace Hopper College at Yale University, and Assistant Master at Mathey College at Princeton University. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. and Master’s Degree in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from Princeton University, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in History from The Johns Hopkins University. Christopher Taylor's academic career spans several institutions and encompasses a wide range of roles in higher education.
