Mahamat Tahir Zene

Mahamat Tahir Zene is an experienced media professional with a diverse background in journalism and content creation. Currently working as a Freelance Producer for Al Jazeera Media Network since March 2024, Zene also serves as an Investigative Reporter for The New Arab (Al-Araby Al-Jadeed) since May 2020 and has been a Content Writer for Al Jazeera Journalism Review since August 2019. Previous roles include Editor in Chief at Rafiq info, Content Writer for ArabicPost, and Writer for Alafarika for Studies and Consultancy and King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies. Zene has also held positions as a Research Fellow at Al Jazeera Media Institute and a News Reporter for Ultra Sawt and International Daily Bulletin. A graduate of Omdurman Islamic University, Zene holds a Bachelor’s degree in technology with a focus on journalism.
