Mohammed al-Akzam

Mohammed Al-Akzam has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Mohammed started their career in 2005 at Aramco, where they held various positions in finance, including financial reporting, project development, and affiliate support. During their time at Aramco, they were also selected to participate in the CFO Development Program, which involved executive development, rotations in finance departments, and assignments in investment banks and accounting firms. Additionally, they served on the Young Leaders Advisory Board at Aramco. In 2011, Al-Akzam worked at Sadara Chemical Company as a finance representative, overseeing procurement and joint venture procedures. Mohammed later joined the Ministry of Commerce as a licensed financial consultant. More recently, they served as Chief Financial Officer at King Salman Energy Park - SPARK before joining Al Muhaidib Group as the Director of the Finance Center of Excellence. Al-Akzam has also held other positions, including CMA instructor and has obtained certifications in management accounting and small and medium enterprise consulting.

Mohammed Al-Akzam's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Supply Chain Management and Corporate Accounting from Michigan State University, which they pursued from 2007 to 2009. In 2016 to 2017, they attended INSEAD for the C-Suite Development Program, focusing on Business Administration and Management. Mohammed also took a course on Organizational Leadership at The Wharton School in 2021. Prior to these experiences, Mohammed received a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of New Orleans from 2001 to 2004. Additionally, they obtained certifications such as Accredited SME Consultant (ASMEC) from the Association of Accredited Small Business Consultants in March 2019 and Certified Management Accountant from the IMA | Institute of Management Accountants in December 2017.
