Silvia joined ALA in 2021 as Cyber Security and Networking Manager; today she is Global Head of Innovation & Technology.
In 2014 Silvia worked for GARR, the ultra-broadband network dedicated to the research and education community. Her multi-year working experience for a prestigious telecommunication provider enabled her to achieve a deep knowledge in Networking and Security, taking part in some relevant European and International projects such as LHCONE, GN4-2 e GN4-3. Among different activities, Silvia had the opportunity to link at 200 Gbps the CERN of Geneva with Italy as well connecting through optical fiber different sites, such as the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, but also Pompeii, Ercolano and Stabia Ruins.
Silvia has also participated as a speaker in national conferences and events for GARR.
Previously she carried out research projects at Télécom ParisTech in Paris.
Silvia is a Chartered IT Engineer from the University of Naples Federico II in Italy.
