Dean Richardson

Dean Richardson, SHRM-CP, pHCLE, currently serves as the Executive Director of Human Resources for the Alamance-Burlington School System since August 2024. Previously, Dean held the position of Director of Human Resources at Rockingham County Schools from October 2022 to August 2024, and worked as a Human Resources Consultant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine from April 2022 to October 2022. Dean has extensive experience in the Alamance-Burlington School System, having served as Director of Talent Management and in various leadership roles including Principal and Assistant Principal between 2013 and 2022. Dean's career in education began at Rockingham County Schools from 2003 to 2012, where responsibilities included Assistant Principal and Teacher/Instructional Coach. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Western Carolina University, a Master of Education from Elon University, a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and ongoing doctoral studies in Educational Leadership at High Point University.
