Shweta Iyengar

Shweta Iyengar has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Shweta currently holds the position of Senior Associate Scientist at Alamar Biosciences, Inc. since January 2023. Prior to this role, they served as an Associate Scientist at Alamar Biosciences from May 2022 to December 2022.

Before joining Alamar Biosciences, Shweta worked as an Associate Scientist at Omega Therapeutics from December 2021 to April 2022. Shweta also held positions at Rubius Therapeutics, starting as an Associate Scientist from July 2021 to November 2021, and later as a Senior Research Associate from March 2018 to July 2021.

Shweta gained research experience as a Research Assistant Co-op at EMD Serono, Inc. from July 2017 to December 2017. Shweta also completed an internship as an Analytical Development Intern at Shire for two months in 2016.

Earlier in their career, Shweta worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for Drug Discovery, Northeastern University from January 2016 to May 2016. Prior to that, they served as a Business Analyst at Accenture from July 2014 to July 2015.

Shweta Iyengar completed their Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from Vellore Institute of Technology from the years 2010 to 2014. Shweta then pursued a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Northeastern University between 2015 and 2017. In 2020, they enrolled in two online certificate programs from Harvard Medical School. The first program was the HMX Pro online certificate program in Immunology-Immuno-oncology, and the second program was the HMX Fundamentals online certificate program in Immunology.
