Rita Pope

Rita Pope currently serves as the Language & Literacy Program Manager at the Alameda County Office of Education since July 2022. Prior to this role, Rita worked as a Language Specialist at Oakland Unified School District from July 2016 to June 2022 and as an English Language Learner Specialist at Washington Unified School District from September 2008 to July 2016. Rita's experience also includes serving as a Project Coordinator at the University of California, Davis - School of Education from September 2007 to September 2008, and teaching in multiple public school districts from July 2002 to June 2007. Additionally, Rita was the AmeriCorps Literacy Program Manager at East Bay Conservation Corps from July 2001 to June 2002. Rita holds a degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
