Project Coordinator - EDSP Grant, Focus Grant at Alameda Health System

Montana J. has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles.

Starting in 2014, Montana worked as an Office Assistant at Visionarium Optometry, where they were responsible for front desk patient intake, insurance verification, and maintaining patient confidentiality.

In 2015, Montana took on the role of Sales Floor Associate at Follett Higher Education, addressing customer inquiries, preparing cash deposits, and maintaining accurate inventory tracking.

From 2016 to 2019, Montana worked as a Nanny, providing supervision, care, and age-appropriate activities for multiple children. They also handled scheduling, transportation, meal planning, and medication administration.

In 2017, Montana briefly worked as an Office Assistant at Song Oral Surgery, where they assisted with office tasks and administrative duties.

Montana also had a role as an Education Specialist at Lakeshore Elementary School, where they led groups of students in discovery exercises, provided personalized support, and developed activity plans to enhance students' development.

From 2019 to 2020, Montana worked as a Teaching Assistant at Mills College, where they facilitated small group discussions, provided individual tutoring, and devised plans to assist struggling students in biological lecture courses.

In 2020, Montana briefly worked as a Checker at Safeway before transitioning to the role of Dental Assistant at Song Oral Surgery, where they assisted in dental procedures.

Montana then worked as a Legal Assistant at The Law Offices of Claire Cochran from 2021 to 2022, providing support in legal matters.

Currently, Montana is working at Alameda Health System as a Project Coordinator for the RART Grant. They oversee the implementation of rapid antiretroviral therapy in an emergency department setting and supervise a team in linking HIV positive patients to long-term care.

Throughout their work experience, Montana has demonstrated skills in project coordination, data collection, team supervision, customer service, childcare, administration, and support.

Montana J. began their education in 2014 at San Francisco State University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders and Special Education. Montana completed their undergraduate studies in 2018. Subsequently, from 2018 to 2020, Montana attended Mills College, where they obtained a Post Bac Certificate in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) from the American Red Cross in March 2023. Prior to that, they acquired their NIH Stroke Scale certification from the American Heart Association in November 2020. Additionally, in September 2020, Montana obtained Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Basic Life Support certifications, both from the American Heart Association.
