Roberto Marantidis

Managing Director, Financial Institutions Group at Alantra

Roberto Marantidis has a strong background in the financial sector, with extensive experience in investment banking and portfolio management. Roberto is currently the Managing Director of the Financial Institutions Group at Alantra since April 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Global Markets, where they specialized in trading and portfolio management from December 2019 to February 2021. From September 2014 to April 2019, they held the position of Director and Head of FIG Investment Banking at AXIA Ventures Group. Before that, they worked at UBS as a Director in the Financial Institutions Group of the Investment Banking division from July 2006 to September 2014.

Roberto Marantidis has a diverse education history. Roberto began their educational journey at the Hellenic American Educational Foundation Athens College - Psychico College, where they completed their International Baccalaureate in 2003. Roberto then went on to attend The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2003 to 2006, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Government and Economics. In 2011, they pursued a Master of Science in Economic and Social Sciences (DES-ESS) from Università Bocconi, graduating in 2013. Later on, in 2019, Roberto enrolled in the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford for the Oxford Fintech Programme. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, such as the Professional Forex Trading Masterclass (PFTM) and Professional Trading Masterclass (PTM) from the Institute of Trading and Portfolio Management in 2020 and 2019, respectively. Roberto also completed the China's Belt & Road Initiative program at LSE in 2019 and the Banking Summer School at the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics in 2013.
