POSITION OVERVIEW

Alarm.com is seeking an Office Manager to join its growing team. The Office Manager will have a broad range of responsibilities including providing administrative and support functions, communicating effectively with internal and external customers, and maintaining the office space to support a fun and collaborative place to work. The position requires exceptional organizational and communication skills and the ability to work independently, as well as to interact effectively with senior-level executives and customers alike.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing administrative support to the team – including coordinating logistics, scheduling, maintaining calendars, executing travel arrangements, preparation of expense reports, and purchase orders
  • Acting as the gate-keeper, responding to calls and inquiries with diplomacy and tact
  • Responding to and resolving employee requests for administrative support
  • Overseeing facilities to provide an orderly and productive work place
  • Collecting and distributing mail and packages
  • Ensuring appropriate supply inventory levels are maintained to avoid outages
  • Ensuring cost-effective procurement of office supplies to meet the needs of the team
  • Coordinating operations and communications cross-functionally across  Alarm.com
  • Offering outstanding customer service, both written and verbal, to our customers (internal and external)
  • Other projects as assigned, often including filing, mailing, shipping, copying, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

 REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years working in a fast-paced office environment, preferably in an administrative role 
  • Proactive and positive attitude. The ideal candidate will be a true team player
  • A very high degree of personal integrity including the ability to manage sensitive or confidential information
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented and strong problem-solving skills required
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple processes and priorities at once
  • Strong technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, as well as proficiency using standard office equipment such as a copier, fax, printer, and postage station
  • Ability to lift and handle packages or equipment up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work requirements and priorities that may require overtime or extended hours.
  • Ability to contribute to a team as well as complete tasks independently
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
