Lauren Rice is an experienced professional in community engagement and advocacy, currently serving as the Community Engagement Manager at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts since March 2023. Previously, Lauren held the position of Special Project Officer at Covenant House International in early 2020 and served as the Director of Advocacy at Covenant House Alaska from 2008 to 2013. In that role, Lauren successfully advocated for youth rights, collaborated with the Alaska Legislature to enhance anti-human trafficking laws, and secured funding for a new shelter. Additionally, Lauren worked as a Legislative Liaison for the State of Alaska's Department of Public Safety and as a Legislative Aide for the Alaska State Legislature, where Lauren contributed to significant legislative initiatives related to public safety and sexual violence. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs from the University of Oregon.
