Cindy Ecklund is an experienced HR Director who oversees human resource services and is responsible for organizational development, policies/programs related to employment, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, recruiting/retention, and compliance with all laws. Cindy also holds leadership roles in planning and zoning commissions, serving as Chair for Seward Planning and Zoning Commission and Commissioner for Kenai Peninsula Borough Planning Commission. In addition, Cindy has experience as a City Clerk/HR Officer and Director of a local theater production company. Cindy has a strong educational background with an Associate of Arts degree in Humanities/Humanistic Studies.
Alaska SeaLife Center
The Alaska SeaLife Center generates and shares scientific knowledge to promote understanding and stewardship of Alaska's marine ecosystems. While primarily dedicated to marine research, the Center is the only permanent facility permitted to rescue and rehabilitate marine mammals and birds, and is the only public aquarium in the state of Alaska. The Alaska SeaLife Center is located on the shores of Resurrection Bay in beautiful Seward, Alaska. The facility is open year-round.
