Carlos Baradello is a seasoned entrepreneur and academic with extensive experience in innovation and venture capital. As Co-Founder and General Partner at Alaya Capital since 2010, Carlos supports the global scaling of young ventures as a connector, advisor, and mentor, while also serving on the Investment Committee. Carlos has been a Professor of Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Hult International Business School since 2013, where responsibilities include co-teaching key courses. In the role of Managing Partner at Sausalito Ventures, Carlos bridges Silicon Valley to Latin America and other markets, providing advisory services and growth capital to foreign startups. Carlos held the position of Associate Dean at the University of San Francisco's School of Management from 2006 to 2013, where programs were successfully launched and revenues significantly increased. Carlos's career also includes leadership roles at prestigious companies such as Motorola, Advanced Fibre Communications, and Digital Equipment Co. Ltd., complemented by a solid educational background with a Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University and multiple degrees in engineering and management.
