Mary Ann Scheuer

Mary Ann Scheuer is an experienced educator and librarian, currently serving as a Teacher Librarian at Albany High School since August 2018. In addition, Mary Ann is the founder of Great Kid Books, a website and blog aimed at helping parents discover quality literature for children aged 4 to 14. Previously, Mary Ann held the position of Teacher Librarian at Berkeley Unified School District from 2010 to 2018, where support was provided to teachers, students, and library specialists across K-12 schools with a focus on literacy and digital citizenship. Additional experiences include serving as Librarian at Emerson Elementary School and Redwood Day School. Mary Ann earned a Master of Library and Information Science from San José State University in 2013, alongside a Teaching Credential in English and Social Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Science in Social Policy from The London School of Economics. A Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude, in English was obtained from Georgetown University.
