Janara Jones

Janara Jones has extensive experience in the field of tax and finance. Janara currently holds the position of VP, Global Tax & Chief Tax Officer at Albemarle Corporation, a role they have held since February 2020. Prior to joining Albemarle Corporation, Janara worked as the Sr Director, Tax at The Home Depot from June 2018 to January 2020. Janara also has experience at SABIC, where they served as the Global Head of Direct Taxes from October 2017 to June 2018 and as the Americas Tax Director from November 2013 to September 2017. Before joining SABIC, Janara worked as the Director - Tax Research & Planning at Campbell Soup Company from January 2011 to November 2013. Janara also worked at Tyco Electronics as the Senior Director US Tax Planning & Controversy from February 2007 to January 2011. Janara started their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Tax Manager from September 2000 to January 2007 and at KPMG as a Senior Tax Associate from June 1998 to September 2000. Prior to their work in the private sector, Janara gained experience as a State Tax Auditor at the Virginia Dept. of Taxation from June 1996 to June 1998.

Janara Jones completed their education as follows:

- From 2010 to 2012, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the Pennsylvania State University - Smeal College of Business.

- Between 1998 and 2001, they attended the American University - Kogod School of Business, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Taxation.

- Lastly, from 1992 to 1996, they studied at Virginia Union University and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting.
