The Position:
Reporting to the Manager, Tour Alberta, the Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for provide exceptional customer service, maximize revenue, and support the achievement of our ambitious sales targets. As a key player on our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting Alberta Cancer Foundation events, Tour stakeholders and ensuring the seamless execution of The Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer.
The successful individual will possess diversified knowledge and practical expertise in relationship management, sales excellence, and event planning. The Community Engagement Coordinator will represent the foundation with unwavering integrity and professionalism, forging meaningful connections and increasing event participation and awareness.
Key Accountabilities:
Business Development
Provide exceptional customer service to Tour participants, addressing inquiries promptly and effectively.
Build and maintain strong relationships with participants, tailoring solutions to meet their needs.
Identify and cultivate new relationships that align with the goals and values of the foundation through proactive prospecting.
Actively participate in sales target initiatives, such as call projects.
Deliver impactful sales presentations to community audiences.
Attend industry events, orientations, trade shows, and networking opportunities to expand the participant base.
Develop an in-depth understanding of our event offerings, staying ahead of industry trends and competitor activities.
Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring alignment with company policies and objectives.
Coordinate assembly of materials required for donor meetings and communications.
Work closely with the Events team members to efficiently execute tasks and assist as needed all Alberta Cancer Foundation events.
Undertake any other administration projects or tasks as assigned.
Foster a collaborative and positive working environment.
Event Planning & Execution
Required Qualifications:
The successful candidate for this role will possess the following:
A degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a related field (Business Administration / Commerce/ Marketing).
Minimum 1-3 years of relevant promotions/sales or fundraising experience specifically peer-to-peer and event fundraising.
Experience in stakeholder relationship management and marketing.
Understanding and experience in cultivating and managing relationships with key stakeholders using online and social media sources.
Please note that a combination of varying education credentials and work experience may be considered.
Proficiency in using Microsoft office suite and O365, Classy/RE7/Salesforce or other CRM software experience is considered an asset.
