Alireza Zare, Ph.D., P.Eng.

Alireza Zare, Ph.D., P.Eng. is a highly accomplished engineer with extensive experience in system planning and interconnections. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer in System Planning at AESO since July 2021, Alireza previously held engineering positions at SaskPower from October 2018 to June 2021, including roles as Engineer and Engineer-in-Training in Interconnections. Alireza's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, earned between 2015 and 2018, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, completed in 2014. Additionally, Alireza obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Shahid Rajaee Teacher Training University.
