Claudio Virues, MBA, is a seasoned Senior Reservoir Engineer with extensive experience in reservoir engineering and simulation across various leading companies in the oil and gas industry, including Alberta Energy Regulator, CNOOC International, and Encana. With a strong background in unconventional shale gas, tight oil, and oilsands, Claudio has successfully contributed to projects such as the Duvernay Appraisal and the Horn River Kiwigana. Claudio holds an Executive MBA from Haskayne School of Business, a Master of Engineering in Reservoir and Simulation Engineering from the University of Calgary, as well as multiple degrees related to petroleum engineering and marine engineering. Claudio’s expertise includes Lean Six Sigma methodologies, specializing in production optimization and reservoir studies globally.
