Water Engineer-in-training, Regulatory Applications at Alberta Energy Regulator

Param Nagra is a skilled water engineer-in-training currently employed at the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) since May 2019, where responsibilities include evaluating Temporary Diversion Licenses and assessing the impact of water drawdown on various water bodies. Previous roles at AER include serving as an inspector for field operations, focusing on compliance with environmental practices and high-risk activities associated with oil sands mining. Prior experience includes a position as a laboratory technologist at North American Palladium Ltd. and as a design specialist at Lakehead University, where research involved the production of methanol through catalytic hydrogenation. Param holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Lakehead University and a Chemical Engineering Technology Diploma from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
