Laurene Beloin, MBA, ICD.D has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Laurene began their career as the Chief Executive Officer/General Manager at Alberta Credit Union's in 1998, where they worked until 2009. Laurene then joined Emeco Canada as a Credit Manager, a position they held until 2013. From 2013 to 2019, Laurene served as the Chair of Faculty Business at NorQuest College. In 2016, they were appointed to the Board of Directors at Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation (Alberta). Most recently, Laurene has taken on the role of Director of Client Relations and Communications at Alberta Pensions Services Corporation (APS) starting in 2019.
Laurene Beloin, MBA, ICD.D has a diverse educational background in various fields of study. In 2010, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Cape Breton University, where they focused on overall business management strategies. Following this, in 2014 and 2015, they pursued further education at Queen's University and earned a certificate in Strategic Analytics, specializing in the analysis of strategic data. In 2015 and 2016, Laurene attended Prosci to obtain a Certificate in Change Management, expanding their knowledge in navigating organizational change. Additionally, in 2017 and 2018, they enrolled in the Institute of Corporate Director Training program at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management, earning an ICD.D designation to enhance their expertise in corporate governance. Lastly, in 2019 and 2020, Laurene studied Risk Management at the University of Toronto, further honing their skills in managing potential risks within organizations.
