Jonathan Martí has been working in the tech industry since 2004. In that year, they started as a Software Developer and sysadmin at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, developing Java applications for teaching practices and a Monitoring System for a Chemical Plant. In 2006, they joined Barcelona Supercomputing Center as a Researcher, where they were a Full-stack software engineer and release manager of dataClay, a distributed object store, and collaborated on echofs, a scheduler-guided temporary filesystem, and porting a parallel distributed filesystem to ARM architectures. In 2017, they became a Course Instructor at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. Since 2019, they have been employed at Albora Technologies as a Software Engineer, developing Global Navigation Satellite Systems as back-end software engineer and DevOps engineer, managing CI/CD automation, designing and deploying infrastructure in AWS, and performing performance monitoring.
Jonathan Martí obtained a BSc + MSc in Computer Science from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya between 2000 and 2006. Jonathan then went on to earn a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Architecture Networks and Systems from the same university in 2006 and 2008. Finally, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2014 and 2017.
