Nate Hodson

Vice President at Albright Stonebridge Group

Nate Hodson is a Vice President with ASG’s Middle East and North Africa practice, where he works with clients to build strategic partnerships, assess market entry opportunities, and evaluate nuanced regulatory environments.

Before joining ASG, Mr. Hodson was at Princeton University where he was a Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies (PIIRS) graduate fellow and PhD candidate in Near Eastern Studies. His dissertation examined the evolution of the Saudi economy in the twentieth century. Mr. Hodson has conducted extensive fieldwork in Saudi Arabia and has consulted and written on political and economic developments in the Gulf.

Previously, Mr. Hodson worked with the Gulf Research Center in Jeddah, where he managed a five-month study advising the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce on how to develop several governorates in the Mecca province. He has also worked at the U.S. Mission to the UN and at a business advisory firm in New York. Early in his career, he was a research assistant at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.

Mr. Hodson holds an M.A. in Near Eastern Studies from Princeton University, an M.P.A. from Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, and a B.A. in political science from Duke University. He has studied Arabic in Yemen, Morocco, Egypt, and as a Fulbright Fellow in Jordan.

Mr. Hodson is proficient in Arabic and has reading knowledge of German, French, and Persian.

He is based in Washington, D.C.
