Cristin Merritt

Cristin Merritt has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Cristin currently holds the position of Chief Marketing Officer at Alces Flight Ltd since January 2023. In this role, they are responsible for developing and executing successful cloud adoption techniques for high-performance computing (HPC) initiatives. Cristin'sduties include researching market strategies, assessing client requirements, project management, and engaging with the HPC community. Cristin is also actively involved with Women in High Performance Computing (WHPC).

Prior to their current role, Cristin served as a Program Manager at Alces Flight Ltd starting in March 2019. Cristin utilized their expertise in cloud HPC adoption and use to manage cloud HPC initiatives. Cristin'sresponsibilities included developing solutions, establishing scalable approaches, and delivering presentations on emerging cloud technologies. Cristin also worked with the community to promote bridge-building roles and engaged with underrepresented leaders in HPC.

Before joining Alces Flight Ltd, Cristin worked at CoreFiling from July 2014 to July 2016, where they held the role of Sales Operations Manager. In this position, they focused on revenue generation through client renewals, upgrades, and cloud application channel partnerships. Cristin also managed reporting and CRM functions, and actively contributed to campaigns aimed at improving the product experience.

Cristin's earlier experience includes working at Insite Objects as a Marketing Director from November 2004 to January 2009. Cristin played a crucial role in supporting sales and marketing systems, including managing CRM administration, event planning, and sales and marketing campaigns. Cristin also gained significant international campaign marketing experience.

At Grant Martin Consulting, Cristin served as a Campaign Manager from March 2001 to October 2004. Cristin'smain responsibilities involved managing campaigns for Democratic and Independent candidates for City of Houston office. Cristin oversaw fundraising, volunteer systems, and office infrastructure for various candidates.

Throughout their career, Cristin has demonstrated proficiency in marketing, program management, sales operations, and administration. Cristin has a strong background in the tech industry, with a particular focus on cloud and high-performance computing.

Cristin Merritt has a diverse education history. Cristin attended the University of Florida from 1996 to 2000 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classics and Art History. In 2014, they completed a High Performance Leadership program at the University of Oxford and received a Certificate of Completion. Recently, in 2020, Cristin pursued further education at The Story Skills Workshop, where they obtained a STR Certificate in Seth Godin's Akimbo Workshops.
