Jackie Njoroge has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Jackie worked at Alcon as the Head of Global Business Technology Strategy, where they led the execution of the company's technology strategy and managed the business technology portfolio and investments. Jackie also showed a passion for diversity and inclusion, mentoring, and identifying volunteer opportunities in healthcare and underdeveloped communities. Prior to joining Alcon, they held roles at The Boston Consulting Group as a Management Consultant and Project Lead, and at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas as a Postdoctoral Researcher with a focus on pharmacology and drug pathway characterization of Plasmodium falciparum for anti-malarial research. Jackie was also involved in teaching medical microbiology to second-year medical students. Earlier in their career, they worked at Gaba as a Public Relations and Senior English Instructor.
Jackie Njoroge earned a Ph.D in Basic Sciences- Molecular Microbiology from UT Southwestern Medical Center during the period of 2007 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their B.Sc in Biosciences- Life Sciences from Tokyo Institute of Technology from 2005 to 2007. From 2002 to 2005, Jackie obtained an AS in Engineering-Chemistry and Biochemistry from Suzuka National College of Technology. Jackie also holds a Certificate in Japanese from the International Students Institute, which they received in 2002.
