Katherine Parker

Katherine Parker has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Katherine is currently employed as a Project Lead at Alcon since 2020. Previously, they worked at Ventana Medical Systems as a PMO Project Manager from 2016 to 2020. Katherine also has experience at MedShape, Inc. where they worked as a Quality Engineer from 2013 to 2014 and as a Product Manager from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, Katherine worked at TransGenRx, Inc. as an Operations Coordinator from 2012 to 2012 and as an Upstream Processing Manager from 2010 to 2012. Katherine also had a role as a Research and Development Engineer at Hygia Health Services, Inc. from 2009 to 2010. Additionally, Katherine worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at UAB from 2006 to 2008 and as a Biological Engineering Learning Community Mentor and Research Assistant at Mississippi State University from 2003 to 2006. Katherine also had a summer internship in the Biomedical Engineering Summer Internship Program at NIH in 2005 and participated in the Research Experience for Undergraduate Participant at the University of Florida in 2004.

Katherine Parker holds a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (2006-2008) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Engineering from Mississippi State University (2002-2006). In addition, they have obtained certifications such as Certified Connector from Verus Global (2021), Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance (2019), and Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute (2016).
