Michalis Xirouchakis

Michalis Xirouchakis has extensive work experience in finance and administration roles. Michalis began their career as a Cost Accountant at ELVAL SA in 1988, followed by a role as Chief Accountant at Ch. Kaklamanos SA. Michalis then worked as the Finance & Administration Manager at Lucas Greece, a subsidiary of Lucas Aftermarket Company. At Lucas Greece, they led a team and was responsible for finance, AR collections, logistics, and IT. After four and a half years at Lucas Greece, they moved on to be the Finance & Administration Manager at Serono before joining Parfums Christian Dior as the Financial & Administration Manager. In 2000, they started working at Novartis, initially as the Business Process & Controls Manager for Europe. Michalis concurrently held the position of Financial Reporting & Accounting Manager for Novartis Greece. During their time at Novartis, they led various important projects such as the implementation of SAP and SOX controls in Greece. Michalis was also a member of the FRA Core Skills program. In 2012, they joined Alcon as the CFO for the Greece Cluster. Michalis then took on the role of CFO for the Nordics Cluster before becoming the EMEA Business Head for SAP Implementation. Currently, they are the Head of Finance Transformation Global FRA at Alcon.

Michalis Xirouchakis has a degree in Economics from the University of Economics Greece, where they studied from 1981 to 1986. Michalis later pursued a Masters in Business & Administration at Kingston University from 1998 to 2000, achieving a "Very Good" degree. In 2023, Michalis completed a Professional Coaching Skills program at the Institute of Coaching Studies.
