Nathaniel Olken is a Principal Engineer at Verdantas, specializing in engineering and environmental consulting for water resource projects, with a focus on fish protection at water intakes and fish passage at dams since May 2011. Previously, Nathaniel served as the Fishing Team Manager at Next Adventure, where responsibilities included planning fishing tournaments and community kayak fishing events. Nathaniel also worked as an Engineer at Alden Research Laboratory, Inc., conducting feasibility studies and designs for water intakes. Early career experiences include a Sales Associate role at Eastern Mountain Sports, providing expertise on outdoor activities, and coaching a youth climbing team at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center. Nathaniel holds a Master’s degree in Water Resources Engineering from Tufts University and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, along with additional certifications in Fish Passage and Outdoor Education.
