Sara Hinchliffe

Sara Hinchliffe is the Chair of Governors at Portslade Aldridge Community Academy. Sara has over ten years of experience in higher education administration, including previous positions at the University of Sussex. As School Manager at Sussex, they were responsible for supporting the head of school in establishing the new school; setting in place management and planning systems for their new way of working (which involved the removal of the departmental structure and the establishment of an improved research culture and performance standards). Sara was also responsible for much of the school’s operational management including space and facilities; student experience; and the operational support for teaching and learning. In their role as Strategy and Operations Manager for Sciences at Sussex, they were responsible for a number of initiatives including the establishment of Pharmacy at the University. Sara has a proven track record in leading change and improving organizational effectiveness.

Sara Hinchliffe has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Sheffield Hallam University.
