Executive Technologist and Fractional CIO at Aldridge

Mitch Sowards, MBA, has a diverse range of work experience in the technology and business sectors. Mitch is currently serving as the Executive Technologist and Fractional CIO at Aldridge since March 2021. Prior to this, Mitch held various roles at ENTRUST Technology, including Executive Technologist from 2006 to present and President & Executive Technologist from April 2006 to February 2021.

Mitch is also a Member of Forbes Technology Council since February 2019 and is an Attendee at Microsoft WPC since 2008. Mitch has previously served as the President of ENTRUST and as the Past President of IACMP from 2006 to present and 2005 to 2019, respectively.

Mitch has also been involved in various professional organizations, including being a Member of the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce from 2003 to 2016 and a Member of Taylor Business Group BIG from 2009 to 2013. Mitch has provided IT services to Touchstone Communities from 2005 to 2012 and worked as the Consulting Services Manager at Systems Evolution, Inc's San Antonio Office from July 2004 to April 2006.

Mitch Sowards, MBA, has a diverse education history. Mitch obtained their Executive MBA from The University of Texas at San Antonio from 2017 to 2019, focusing on Masters of Business Administration. Prior to that, they earned a BA in Computer Science and Applied Statistics from St. Mary's University between 1979 and 1983. Mitch completed their high school education at Central Catholic Marianist High School from 1975 to 1979.

In addition to their formal education, Mitch has also obtained several certifications. In November 2021, they became certified in The Six Types of Working Genius through The Six Types of Working Genius institution. In December 2016, they achieved accreditation as a Facilitator for The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team. Furthermore, in April 2018, they obtained certification in Star2Star Marketing from Star2Star Communications.
