Natasha Slepak

Natasha Slepak is a scientist with extensive experience in neuroscience research, currently working at Alector since May 2022. Previously, Natasha held positions as an Associate Scientist at UNITY Biotechnology and as a Research Associate at Boundless Bio. Natasha's academic background includes significant research during the tenure as a Graduate Student at the University of California San Diego, where the focus was on the relationship between lysosomes and synaptic plasticity, culminating in the development of a new method to demonstrate activity-dependent lysosome redistribution in neuronal dendrites. Natasha also engaged in organizing collaborations to enhance research methodologies through mass spectrometry proteomics. Prior educational accomplishments include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from UC San Diego and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from UC Berkeley.
