Swee Yean, Cheong

Swee Yean, Cheong has worked in the software industry since 2013. Swee Yean, began their career as an Intern at Mobiweb Sdn Bhd in 2013. In 2014, they joined IBM Malaysia as a Software Test Engineer, where they were responsible for manual testing of IBM Server Resource Management software on UNIX platform. In 2017, they joined Sitecore as a Software QA Engineer/Acting QA Lead, where their first year of work included being mentored by two senior testers and being exposed to automation scripts, version control, peer-programming, REST API testing, and a more mature Agile process. In 2021, they joined Alegion as a Senior Software Test Engineer.

Swee Yean, Cheong obtained a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Software Engineering from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) between 2010 and 2014. Prior to that, they attended St. George's Girls School from 2005 to 2009. Swee Yean, has also obtained three additional certifications, including Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) from ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in January 2018, ITIL Foundation from PEOPLECERT in December 2015, and SAFe® 4 Practitioner from Scaled Agile, Inc. in June 2017.
