Lee Recht, PhD

Vice President Sustainability & Policy at Aleph Farms

Lee Recht, PhD has a diverse work experience in the sustainability and innovation sectors. From 2019 to present, they have held positions at Aleph Farms, starting as the Head of Sustainability and currently serving as the Vice President of Sustainability. Lee joined Fabumin in 2020 as an Advisory Board Member. From 2018 to 2019, they worked at The Builders as the Director of R&D Innovation, where they facilitated partnerships between Fortune 100 companies and startups. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2018, they were the Strategic Partnerships Manager at Start-Up Nation Central. Lee's earlier experience includes working as a Scientific Advisor to the Senior Director of Energy and Cleantech at the Ministry of Economy and Industry in Israel from 2014 to 2016. In this role, they were responsible for identifying challenges in the cleantech and renewable energy sector and developing government solutions to address them.

Lee Recht, PhD began their education at Irony Hey in Tel Aviv from 1995 to 1998, where they completed their high school education with a focus on Computers, Math, and Biology. They then attended The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 2003 to 2006 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Technology. From 2007 to 2009, they pursued a Master's degree at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, focusing on the Microalgae & Biotecnology laboratory. Lee Recht continued their studies at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev from 2009 to 2014, completing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.). Their Ph.D. research was conducted in the field of Microalgae & Biotecnology laboratory, while their MBA had a focus on Strategy and International Management.
