Eric Hollas started their work experience at Pervasive Software in 1997 as a Software Engineer, where they maintained a public facing web server and wrote web applications integrating the company's database engine. Eric then moved to Time Domain in 2000, working as a Software Engineer and running network simulations of new wireless protocols while also writing media access control firmware. In 2003, Eric joined Alereon as a Senior Software and Firmware Engineer, where they built embedded systems using Ultrawideband radios, low-latency H.264 video compression, HDMI, and various I2C sensors. Eric also wrote manufacturing tools in C#, Windows and OSX installers, conducted board bring-up, characterized digital interfaces, reviewed RTL VHDL, and maintained Windows device drivers. Finally, Eric worked at Landmark Education from 2004 to 2006 as a Course Supervisor.

Eric Hollas obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin, where they studied from 1991 to 1997. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education at Blankenship Martial Arts from 1997 to 2020, although specific degree information and field of study were not provided.
