Job Description
We are looking for a driven and self-motivated Business Development Lead to play a critical role in identifying and cultivating new technology driven partnerships to help bring our industry-leading mass notification solutions to a broader audience.
Travel to our Baltimore HQ is required for onboarding, training, and other in-person team/company activities. Candidates must be located in the Baltimore, MD area and/or within driving distance of our headquarters.
A Day in the Life:
- Develop and maintain a network of contacts and relationships with technology partners, industry stakeholders, and potential collaborators to explore partnership opportunities and drive engagement
- Use various methods (phone/email/etc.) to create interest in and schedule demonstrations for the Alertus solution
- Communicate the Alertus value proposition effectively and flawlessly to schedule demonstrations of Alertus solutions
- Identify new accounts, contacts, and business opportunities within a defined focus
- Own the prospecting life cycle from researching and profiling strategic accounts to scheduling demonstrations
- Adeptly overcome objections and drive prospective customers into the sales funnel
- Promote and market the Alertus solution through persistent outbound business development efforts
- Collaborate with the VP of Business Development to create and maintain an effective capture plan

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years experience in a business development position
- Experience with Salesforce
